Preview: Seattle Pro Musica in Mendelssohn’s Elijah
2009 is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Felix Mendelssohn, and Seattle Pro Music marks the anniversary with performances this weekend of Meldelssohn’s oratorio Elijah.
Conductor Karen Thomas talks about the oratorio:
Baritone Charles Robert Stephens sings the role of Elijah. He’s joined by tenor Ross Hauck, mezzo-soprano Kathryn Weld, and soprano Katherine Barlow. Karen Thomas conducts Seattle Pro Musica, a full orchestra and soloists at St. James Cathedral.
