Music on the Strait returns for 6th season
Now in its sixth year, Music on the Strait has become a cherished event for music enthusiasts on the Olympic Peninsula. This hidden gem of a music festival may not receive as much attention as some of its counterparts, but it certainly deserves recognition for the incredible performances it brings to this part of the Pacific Northwest year after year.
The brainchild of James Garlick, a violinist from the Minnesota Orchestra, and Richard O’Neill, a seasoned violist, Music on the Strait showcases their passion for music and their unwavering commitment to creating an exceptional musical experience.
The festival boasts an impressive lineup of talented musicians, with performers and guest artists. This year pianists Garrick Ohlsson and Jeremy Denk, join the festival along with with O’Neill’s Takacs Quartet.
If attending in person is too much, performances are live streamed on Youtube and Facebook, including last night’s opening performance.
